Well it looks like I've suddenly got a bit of cash free and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading my 3900x to one of the newer AM4 CPU's and if so which one. I used my PC for gaming but i also use it Fusion 360. Would I be better off with a 5900x given the multi use case or would the 5700x3d be the better choice (kinda fell I need a 5900x3d but they don't exist for some reason).
Or would I be better off waiting, saving a little and going AM5 but then the same question applies on the Ryzen 9 or 7x3d and is it worth the cost of a new Motherboard, DDR5 and the increased cost of the CPU?
Or am I best just stick with what I've got and waiting for AM5 at this point?
I've currently got a 5570XT GFX card but will be getting a 5070 ti or 8800xt as soon as I can get my hands on them if that makes a difference.
One thing to add is I want to upgrade my Nephews new PC as I'm getting him a 3060 ti for it but the i7 8700 is a little old so I want him to have my CPU so I'll have to buy him a motherboard at the very least if I don't upgrade mine so thats something to factor into the cost.
