**RYZEN CPU COOLER INFORMATION**

Hi,

With the launch of the Ryzen CPU’s many of the cooler manufacturers have been trying to get the new mounting hardware ready and included in any new batches of coolers. Due to the lack of time available some manufacturers were unable to add them to any products so they will take time to trickle through to stock but they have already announced that they will send out mounting hardware when you provide them with proof of purchase of the cooler and the Ryzen CPU. I will try and keep this list as up to date as possible when we get more information over the next week.

Corsair and NZXT are trying to get the brackets out quickly but it is looking like MID-March I will keep you posted.

Trust me I have been on at Corsair for a few weeks now to hurry up but they are coming and will be free. They are not the only ones struggling to get them done for the pre-orders but they should have them close to actual launch.

I don't think that will work. According to corsair it needs a upgrade kit. Could be that it is too long.

Looks like a bit of conflicting info on the h110i Gt as I originally thought it would till I saw this link and that's why I said maybe not.

I agree. There's a bit of contradictory info. But GloriousGe0rge (is he a Corsair employee) says that the H110i will work "out of the box" on Reddit.

H110i works but they say the GT won't. I will get this confirmed in the morning as I have no idea why not.

Yes the crosshair works with am3 and am4.

yep i understand that either am3 or 4 coolers will work with the crosshair but that does not really answer the question , it was more a specific reference to Noctua's mounting system and its use on the crosshair , will the long set of mounting bars fit due to the closeness of components to the AM4 socket on this board ( specifically the side of the socket closest to the back of the motherboard ) ?

So if I got the Crosshair would the NZXT kraken work with the AM3 bracket ? I have ordered the Gigabyte Gaming 7

Yes the Kraken will work with the Crosshair using the AM3 bracket I don't believe it will work with the gaming 7.

Are you sure, have you tested this? would I not need an AM3 backplate?

You are right you will still need an AM3 backplate so either way you will have to get a bracket. With the Kraken you will need to request a top bracket for the AM4 slot but for the AM3 bracket you can get one for cheap usually off ebay.

so are the AM3 and AM3+ brackets different?

No they are the same but the bracket that comes with Crosshair motherboard is an AM4 bracket meaning the backplate is too small for the AM3/AM3+ cooler.

So to use the kraken you will need an AM3 backplate or an AM4 top mounting kit if that makes sense.

You can claim an AM4 mounting bracket from NZXT website now but I think it will be a couple of weeks to arrive.

Hi,

The motherboard does support AM3 coolers with a backplate 100%. The only issue is you have to buy an AM3 backplate.

Hi, I agree and I think a lot of companies have been blind sided on how successful the ryzen launch has been.

I believe both NZXT and Corsair will be about the 15th.

Hi,

AM4 Brackets for Arctic Cooling AIO coolers you will need to contact the manufacturer for this and they will happily send you one. They will not be send any to us for spares.

Corsair will be delayed till about Mid April due to a production issue with the different length stand offs.

Hopefully NZXT will be soon on the AM4 brackets with us but you should be able to get one for free from NZXT direct.

AMD did not allow the cooler manufacturers the motherboards till to close to launch so they are a little behind but they are coming.

Most AM4 brackets can be requested from the manufacturer websites already.
