Ryzen CPUs - orientation?

NP :)

Ryzen is different to Sandy Bridge (2500K) in that with Ryzen the pins are on the CPU, there are tiny holes in the socket that those pins fall into, if it doesn't just fall in and become flush with just the tiniest bit of a push from the top its not aligned right or the socket is not properly open. you shouldn't have to force it, don't, you could bend pins.

If its aligned right it will fall in under its own wight, before closing the socket by putting the leaver back down and clamping it into the potion it lives make sure the bottom of the CPU's PCB is flush with the top of the socket.
