I know there is lot of threads on Ryzen but most of them keeping going on about overclocking and gaming. Thought I would start a thread about using Ryzen in a creative manner like video editing 4k, Rendering and as such.
My situation is i've just sold my x99 Xeon 18 Core machine as I got a very good price for it. I was looking at building a new machine still based on the x99 platform but then Ryzen was released and now i'm in to minds what to go for. Do I stick with x99 and possible purchase a 2nd hand 5960x or go 1800x
I know the Ryzen 1800+ is £400 and its on par with the 6900k which is twice as much but I don't think i've purchased a new CPU ever so i tend to match the 1800+ against 2nd hand Intel chips
So is anyone else in a similar position and going to dive in with Ryson as there main creative work station for Adobe Premier/After Effects etc.
