I refuse to spend 50% more just for tighter timings for 2x8gb 3200 or 3600.

What are the go to options for tight people, which of models offer the best chance to either overclock to 3600@CL16 or have a high chance of achieving CL14 @3200mhz.

Looking at the cheap options, Vengence, Rimjaws, Tridents, Ballastix sport LT or Team group. What is the go to option in this range.

Thanks

whats wrong with these https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3600mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08q-tg.html

Anything you buy 3200mhz C16, C17 or C18 for £70-£100 is going to be Hynix based ram, and wont give you any more speed, everything else.....or most C14 and higher mhz tends to be Samsung B Die, and its not cheap, but overclocks well, or tightens timings well.

Those that I linked are one of the best.

As for G.Skill......yes the cheap ones are Hynix, because Hynix chips are cheap compared to Samsung B-Die, they use hynix up to 3200mhz CL16, im pretty sure the 3200mhz CCL15 is samsung E-Die and the CL14 is B-Die, the 3466, 3600 etc etc are Samsung B-Die.

ok so basically 3200@cl14 is B die and 2600@cl16 is B die also.

Cheers

looks like I'm gonna have to cough up more

I take it you mean 3600, because 2400mhz up to 3200mhz CL16 is hynix.

You wont go wrong with those Team Group I linked though, and at that price, they're a steel, with some tweaking you could probably get 3866mhz and above out of those.

ah i ment 3600 yea.

I want them for a ryzen 3000 setup so 3733 max I would want as I want 1:1 on IF. I take it I would be able to squeeze them timings down to 15 or 14 no problem at 3600? or keep same timings at 3733
