I have 16GB(2x8) of the Corsair sticks "Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB 3200 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Kit". They appear to be CAS16. I went into my Asus B450-F board and set the DOCP.

It seems to be running fine but I keep dipping down in framerate (below 240fps) during intense battles in Overwatch. I have a Ryzen 5 3600/RTX 2060 Super and I really thought this would be good enough to never go below 280fps even in battles.

The only thing I can think of is my 3200Mhz RAM is slightly limiting me as I heard Overwatch is RAM dependent. I basically have 2 questions:

1: How safe is it to overclock this Corsair RAM to 3600?
2: The RAM I have is apparently 1.35V so will I need to change this higher if I do overclock and if so what is a good value?

Corsair ram are usually highly binned...I suspect you won't get much more out of the ram.
And besides...it's not the ram speed that matters, it's the timings that matter more.

I very much doubt the Corsair ram will clock to 3600, unless you've been lucky and got the B die version, mine cant even reach 3400.

is it not possible to clock to 3600mhz but to increase the CAS to 18 as well? will upping the voltage a little also help?

Yeah, same ones, didn't go near 1.44v. Good to know they can be pushed further though.
Actually 1.44v was my starting out voltage, as I tend to start at the max voltage I'm prepared to use and then work down from there.

In the end I got them to 1.41v at 3400Mhz C14-16-16-35 2T and tightened the sub timings, which is pretty good for something that at stock is 2666Mhz C15-17-17- 35-2T. I've seen a speed improvement in the apps I use so well worthwhile. Saved me going out and getting some better RAM. ;)
