Ryzen server build

Hi

Thinking of putting together a Home server based on Ryzen.
Am I correct in thinking I'll need to buy a cheap graphics card to get everything set up?
Once setup, can the card be removed and run the server headless with RDP connections as necessary or does RDP also need something to drive the GUI presented to the remote machine?

you could buy a mobo with built in VGA.
you could also do what you are suggesting.

either way would work.

RDP *should* still work without the GFX card
