Hello.
It may sound that this is same story comparing I5 to Ryzen 5 but actually I am torn between I3 or Ryzen 5 2600 ...Looking at the performance they are very similar but what about future proofing?
I am not talking future proofing so games will use more cores later etc ...specifically socket proofing. According to AMD they will use AM4 to 2020 so few years ...and looking at Intel they possibly will change to a new socket and that sux ...stability I can comment on both as not sure....do coffee lake require additional patches and fafin about the drivers under win10 or as most stuff its pain free?
MB wise I think B450 or H370 are the once for me not planning ocing but would like to have some nice features (wifi BT - as looking at Mini ITX build+zotac 1060) Which one not sure
Gaming only 2-3 games that are not so demanding (wow overwatch,witcher@1080p)

Last time I have used AMD was a long time ago with DX4 :P and later Athlons ...since then was Intel but have no problem changing if it works without a hassle ....

The only think that puts me off a little from AMD is lack of good priced itx or mini ATX boards and ram problems ( although as I read that mostly been resolved now)....and as for the iGpu I could not care lessst the moment.

Not seeing a point to go I7 or Ryzen 7 even if I can as that would be just waste...

That should be ok butmissing WiFi which I need. Always there are pciex cards I suppose..

Hmm found on rainforest...ASRock B450 Gaming/AC AM4 M-ITX HDMI/DP DDR4 Retail...now to find cheaper than £124...
On this....is there a cooling kit to go for for this CPU ? So many options fractal, CM, NZXT, Corsair etc....if case will support 240 ( Fractal Design Define Nano S) is it better to go for that one (or it would be overkill) or sigle 120-140 will be more than enough?

And where in UK to buy Biostar?

The AMD Cpus are coming with an excellent cooler, no need to buy a new one and at £124 buy the Asrock board mate.
It seems I like it what I see there and that would be the choice ….as for memory ...still have to be careful for the ryzen system? or any "good" will do ...like this set:

or from ran forest as example for similar £:
Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0

Cheers

Thanks. Missed that. ( although case will take mATX as well :pp )

And yes MSI could be had for £125 so seems like win over Asus as they are pricier..

True. But comparing i3 and Ryzer 5 means mainstream rather than performance

Going deeper in to the memory choice I keep thinking ...damn the times when you bought what it was there and all was working ...now has to be B-die ...not Hynix...3200 for good performance etc .....Intel does not suffer/gain with a lot quicker memory and 2600MhZ for i3 for example so much cheaper....
