S.M.A.R.T

hi i cant seem at enable this on my computer for some reason, cant find it anywhere in the bios

this board with the latest Bios

When i hook up a sata hard drive i just get this error on the post screen;

Ultra DMA Mode-6 S.M.A.R.T - capable but disabled

and because of this wont let me install the os

Anyone have a clue.?

can you not enable S.M.A.R.T in bios?

Had a look through the bios setting and can find it anyware at all to enable it

Advanced Tab -> IDE Configuration

Select the Hard Drive you want from this screen and you will then get all the options for it including S.M.A.R.T enable/disable.
