S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 1.001.exe req'd

I am trying to update ver1.001 to 1.003, using the correct non-us update patch. It starts to install and keeps telling my exe is incorrect/damaged. Could some kind chap please send me a copy of this so I can confirm. I would rather not have to reinstall and go back to the beginning.

You won't lose anything reinstalling, it keeps all game saves and settings. I reinstalled and updated to full 1.0003 and everything stayed as they should be .

Doesn't matter where you reinstall from the uninstall shortcut or add/remove - they launch the same uninstaller

Thanks, what I meant was did you uninstall reinstall, or does it give you the option to reinstall/repair from the uninstaller

I am making this harder than it needs to be

Yeah the saves are located in the your C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents, theres a STALKER-SHOC folder in there, but as said above when you un-install the game it doesn't remove that folder so you'll be fine, or if you want to be extra certain you can back it up.

If you still want the .exe though from patch 1.001 then drop me an e-mail from my hotmail addy and ill send you it.
