S.T.A.L.K.E.R. anyone?

It's one of those Duke Nukem Forever games that keeps getting delayed and hyped to death. I personally am not looking forward to it, as it seems a little overhyped to me, but not that many games hype me up anyway. I'm hoping it'll suprise me when I do play it, but we've got a long wait still yet it seems.
 
I've had this on pre-order for about two years now but I'm reluctant to remove it as I have it down for £17.19! I'm still looking forward to it, especially as I haven't upgraded my PC for a couple of years and it should still run this fairly well.
 
I'm really looking forward to this. More than Crysis I think.

Love open levels and the combat seems more realistic than the usual hero type who can take 100 bullets. :)

I'm exactly the same as you. I don't really want it anymore, neither am I looking forward to it, but I don't want to cancel it for that price just in case it is as fantastic as it promised to be 2 years ago.

I think it'l come out around early 2007, who knows it might be......again :rolleyes:

just what i was going to say... it looked great when announced, but then we had F.E.A.R and soon Crysis and we had HalfLife 2 with HDR and Oblivion so its nothing special anymore.
 
Who cares about how it looks? So long as it's 'good enough' then as long as the gameplay is as good as it's supposed to be it should be good.

I for one will be happy not to be stuck in a rigid world like HL2 where you have to do everything in a certain order.
 
I still have hopes for this game, the directx 9 gfx look fine enough, just hope the AI is up to scratch and the gameplay is good.

dont get me wrong, this game will get a fair chance from me :) if the game play is good then it can have pacman style graphics for all i care, im just saying that they mainly hyped the "X-Ray" engine as being the most advanced graphical engine around and this simply isnt the case any more. It looks creepy though.

Yeah I know that feeling :P I've had it preordered since it was put up on the site I use that was three years ago! still quietly hopeful but by and large I just forget about it... sort of get reminded once every couple months but I don't even look at the website any more :\

Seriously hope this comes out next year. Its one of those games that got hyped long ago, got my attention, took too long to come out and now I'm un-interested. I think they ended up doing a full re-structure of the plot or something because it didn't play well or some such. If they hype it again and it doesn't come out then they're just doing an DM:F or an HL2 :/.
