Howdy,

Just wanted to ask, if anyone has STALKER crash on them, but to be more particular, does it crash out and reboot your machine, BUT just before the reboot you catch a hint of a BSOD (Blue screen of death) from Windows?

I ask this, cos I've had a nightmare clocking my machine, and I got it to 3.4ghz and Orthos ran for 19hrs without fail... that in my opinion was stable. Yet when I played STALKER I get a crash like what I mentioned above. So I thought It may have been my RAM overclock, so I knocked that back to default, and managed to play STALKER for an extra 15mins+ and it done it again?

So I have thought it was my overclock and I have gone back to 3.2ghz, and I was playing Oblivion for well over an hour earlier without probs, but not played STALKER yet as I am watching the footie.

So I want to see if anyone else if having crashes like this? If so it could be the game, and not my hardware/clock? I am on XP btw?

I actually don't think its the game, cos on my last rig (X2 4400+) I was playing STALKER a lot on XP and didn't have a single crash, but I did hear people say that had probs with STALKER and 8800GTX... I had a 7800GTX on my last rig?

Anyone?

I knew someone would do that, I started and I've not got time to wade thru 50 pages... so theres no harm in another thread... everything stalker doesnt have to go in the "official" thread!

Oh I have, but I wanted to see if anyone specifically saw the BSOD... cos then chances are it would be the game.

Besides several questions I asked in the "official" thread never got answered... I can only handle being ignored a few times, it makes me sad :(

Andy, you say you get crashes... do you get the BSOD though?
