i have just reinstalled vista on my system now i have a stable overclock on my E6300 and 2GB RAM, when i go to play STALKER it is completelly unplayable. i cant see anything but the sky. i was told the new drivers fixed the problems people were having but they have made it worse for me. the game works fine in XP so i know the hardware isnt causing the problem.

any help on fixing this would be appreciated

Did you upgrade to vista? This issue is known. Something about the game not understanding where all the directories are. Fixes i vaguely remember are:

Running the game in admin status
disabling UAC comepletely in vista

Sorry thats all i can help you with, i get the exact same thing in my vista install but i assumed it was because i was trying to run it off my xp partition without installing it in vista!

Are you on the 100.70 drivers, as that happens if you force AA through the Nvidia CP, if your on the latest drivers make sure your not forcing AA through the Nvidia CP. :)

A buggy game coupled with shoddy drivers, go back to XP for games mate.

Yep, Thats what I have done, had the same problem with Stalker ......just go back to XP until all is well with Vista!

Sound advice.

In the nvidia control panel select "let the application decide" and all should be well. Well you will at least be able to play.

Yup, you can enable AA in the game options. All will be well.
