Dont want to pay silly money, but i do want something what will do a resonbale job. DOnt want a crappy image, but dont want to spend more than £25 really.

S-Video from Nvidia 6600 to scart connection on back of my 28" CRT TV. Until i can sort out my new Plasma or LCD TV.

Yeah thats the kind of cable you want except that one is wired as output from scart to svid, you actually would want this one Link

Also if you wish to use the tv speakers you will need a 3.5mm to phono patch lead for the audio connections, I very rarely used mine though.

Just noticed you asked this.
The cable will be fine for what you will be able to put through it.
I say this because using your tv as a screen has it's limitations, or at least s-vhs has it's limitations.
You can expect games and films/tv to look good but using your windows desktop will put a bit of a strain on your eyes. I would recommend turning on large icons and fonts.
It is a good way of making do until you get a new monitor though
