I'm having a problem with my new Seasonic S12-500.
When i switch it on it powers up for a couple of seconds and then dies.
If i keep doing it it will eventually stay on and boot.
It also seems to stay on longer before dieing if i leave it on for a while, suggesting some cap somewhere is getting charged and helping it stay on longer.

Initially i suspected it might have something to do with drive spinup current, but unplugging things hasn't helped.

It worked fine on the first day i had it after unplugging one drive, but its steadily got worse over a few days.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Is it anything to do with dual 12v rails?

Is this likely to be a psu fault, is it rma time?

Thanks for your help.

OT, i reaserched my harddisk spinup current, a heads up for others suffering psu problems, drives do draw quite a bit of current when they spinup, and not all of them list spinup current in the specs.
2A each for WD raptors and 1.8 for T7K250. Both draw around 500mA normally. With three drives, thats almost 4.5A extra at startup.
