Hey all.
With my S8 I had some Bluetooth full closed cup headphones that were great for the gym. They also had a built-in microphone for calls. Sadly these won't pair with my new S20.

I find calls very quiet on the S20, to the point that when walking the dog I simply cannot use the hands free. I just can't hear people. It really is useless. I'm 32 and my hearing is fine!

Any recommendations in a headset or how to tweak the settings? I've spent some time on Google but haven't found anything that really works.

Get it repaired under warranty, sounds like it is faulty or you have an incorrectly applied screen protector

I am hoping it is just that the included headphones are crap.
I have ordered a headphone adapter so I can try other sets that I have.
The screen protector is the one it came with i.e. it is still applied as per new. How could the phone is faulty when it is the hands free that is crap?

Apologies, I thought you were saying the handsfree was quiet, not that your headset is quiet, which headset are you using?

Another thing to try is to disable bluetooth absolute volume, and then raise the volume on both the headphones and the phone to see if that makes a difference.

No probs. It is the included headset.

I never really used the AKG headset bar a brief test but wireless BT is my thing, I'll dig it out and try them again but seem to remember they were quite loud, they have to go pretty deep in the ear and with the correct rubber to create a seal in your ear, they should not be loose, if they are the sound is not good.

failing that perhaps you have enabled a media limiter as suggested, its interesting that your old BT headphone from S8 don't work, I found my car problematic, it took several wipes of paired devices on the car before it finally took, now it works with zero issues, its 10yrs old car running windows so guess Samsung has changed something and was timing out before a successful pair, was perfectly fine on my S8+, but there are somethings the S8 had that the new phone does not, like reading my texts through the car etc, so definitely some changes in new samsung OS for the worse on BT side.
