Hi all. Just saw this monitor on sale and before I buy one I'm wondering do I need to get one of the Dual-Link active adapters for 3D, won't be using Eyefinity though just the 3D bit.

Can 7970's support 3D through the DL-DVI? Or is it strictly DisplayPort for 1080p@60hz? The extra 75 quid for the adapter could be the make or break point!

Yes, the 3D/120Hz is done through DVI-D so you won't need any adaptors.

Are you absolutely sure? I just don't want to but the monitor to find out I have to use the mDP port on the card.

Just bit the bullet and bought one! Should be here Tues for when I'm fin my projects! Happy days
