S2716DG only running at 85hz?

Had this monitor a couple of days and just realized it was running at 85hz, tried changing it in windows and it isn't even giving me the option of using anything more than 85hz? Not much on google, anyone got an idea?

You have it changed in your GPU's control panel too I'm guessing? What type of cable are you using?

Yes I have and display port.

Perhaps try a clean install of drivers?

Solved it, cable I had purchased didn't support 144hz. Tried another cable and it's sorted.

I didn't think Displayport cables were different. Must have been a damaged one.

Did you not get a DP cable in the box?

Apparently they are? The different variants consist of 1.1 which was the cable I had and then 1.2 1.3 etc.

I did get a cable in the box but I assumed it would be slightly to short when I ordered the monitor so I ordered a longer cable to go with it.

There is no change in the connector pinout specification between the various DP 1.x versions. Any cable should work. However the spec does limit the length of cable at which the performance should be achieved.
