Hi all ive finally decided as the Asus PG 279Q has many many QC issues will be a choice between the 2 above. These appear to be basically the same monitor just slight variations. I have a MSI GTX980Ti 6G will I be able to max out my games on these .As I do on my Eizo FS 2333 at present .But its only a1080P 60HZ. Look forward to your replies all . TY

I am finding this whole current generation of monitors rather frustrating. I keep going around in circles. I will be researching one gaming monitor and will find good reviews, more good reviews and then uh oh shed loads of people who have ended up with massive back bleeding or dead pixels or DOA gear.

I am trying to upgrade from an ancient benQ 24inch xl2410t which while has been good for FPS games (and in particular competitive games like BF4) has never really had that good image quality. I bought that bloody years ago and I was hoping that by now any major bugs would have been resolved and things would have moved on significantly to allow for faster bigger panels, but apparently not.

So I am currently looking at the Dell as at least that model compared to the current Acer and Asus models of the 144 27inch it has a better reputation (slightly). I am getting sick and tired of reading reviews as they all seem to suffer from bad QC checks but the IPS monitors seem to be the worse by far.

I think if I was a retail outlet I would simply send the lot back if I had that many issues with them. I have read about people who have had 3-4 versions of one of the new Asus monitors before they got one that worked, from a consumer perspective that simply isn't good enough.

So as I said the Dell is definitely looking the better option at the moment. If OC'ers open the box, first power it up, and test it before they send it out I would be perfectly happy for them to do so as long as it works when it gets here.
