Hi all.
like many, been reading for quite some time between the S27A950D and the Asus VG278H.
Common sense is making me think go for the Samsung for its 2d image, however the newer glasses with lightboost are quite appealing (could you not just increase the brightness on the samsung monitor to compensate as a comparison?)
The having to run the monitor through a 3d vision 'emulator' though as a workaround is a bit of a concern though incase it gets blocked (or if it even affects performance slightly.
erm anyways, reason posting, is could I ask someone to please give the dimensions for the stand itself, including. One of the appealing things for the Asus is its central stand shape....meaning it could fit where my existing 22" screen is, with the display overlapping part of the pc desk space. The pain about the Samsung screen being its a big stand so takes up a lot of space, so need to make sure theres room where it will go, and if it is indeed too wide, then it would have to be set forward a bit, so see how close it would get to my vision....as I'm presuming it could have a negative effect if sit too close to a 3d screen?
thanks
