Hi

Galaxy S4 running kitkat just will not lock onto GPS.

GPS is turned on and i have also tried the following;

1. All GPS apps, none will lock on.

2. Checking the screws with the back cover off. None were loose.

3. Factory reset.

4. No Yahoo weather apps are installed.

I have also found the following and tried this...
Open the Phone, as if you were going to make a phone call and dial -
*#9090# -- Diagnostic Configuration (*#197328640# if that doesn't work)
Menu, select Key Input, enter Q
Menu, select Key Input, enter 0000
wait for the next menu. (It takes a while.)
UMTS->COMMON->NV REBUILD->NV REBUILD->SYSTEM->PROTOCOL->GPS->IMS
or, if you don't have UMTS:
UE SETTINGS & INFO->SETTING->SYSTEM->NV REBUILD->ALL

Restart the phone.

But I get stuck here..

UMTS > COMMON > NV Rebuild but then the only options available to me are;

1. Load Default NV
2. Erases All EFS1/2/3!
3. Make Back-up
4. Restore Back-up
5. Erase only Backup

------------------------
Golden-Backup exist
You can Restore Cal/NV
------------------------

I cannot get to NV REBUILD->SYSTEM->PROTOCOL->GPS->IMS

I know a few other people has this issue recently, but i just cannot get the damn GPS to lock.

Any suggestions as it used to work up until a few weeks ago, I suspect something has changed/updated.

Phone has also not been dropped :D

OK, bizarrely after a re-flash via ODIN of the stock firmware i now have GPS.

No idea what's happened but hope this may help someone else out in the future.
