S4 mini mass storage

Hi

I've just got a s4 mini and I cannot get it to read a USB stick, a guy at work can connect his s3 via a cable to a USB stick, but when I try it doesn't recognise it.

Apart from rooting is there any way I can get it to work.

What is the file system on the memory stick, fat32?

I don't think this does USB OTG

Try downloading nexus media importer from the play store and see if that allows you to view what's on the stick.

So even though the S3 mini supported USB OTG, the S4 mini doesn't.
