Hi There,

I recently bought an S6500 that im looking to buy filters for, from searching on here i can see its recommended to get a Polarizing filter first off however im having trouble with which one i really need from the two below.

Hoya 58mm CPL Circular Polarizing
Hoya 58mm CPL Pro 1 Digital Filter

Now i understand the Pro1 version has more coatings to help reduce glare etc - will this give me noticebly better results than the standard version? theres about £10 difference between both so im not sure which to purchase.

Also could anybody recommend any other filters i should be getting while im at it?

Thanks :)

i use hoya 'normal' on my d50, and havent had any issues with glare. its up to you if you want to spend the extra tenner or not really eh.

get yourself a uv / skylight filter as well. and leave it on the lens all the time. they do a nice job of protecting the lens.

Well i dont mind spending an extra tenner but im hoping somebody could inform me as to whether its worth spending more on the Pro 1 model or not.

Also would an ND Grad filter be worth buying? as i get quite a few blown out skies.

Thanks

Just the answer i was looking for!

Also another quickie, how much should i be paying for the standard CP filter?
Only place iv seen them is based from Hong Kong but they require paypal...anyone know UK prices?

Thanks!
