Im going to be getting a 6600 Conroe asap, but not sure which CPU cooler to go for. Im not going to be doing a lot of overclocking and noise levels/low temps are the most important thing to me - should i go for:

Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B Heatpipe CPU Cooler

OR

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler

The latter is half the price and i currently have an Artic cooler on my S939 CPU, which is quiet as anything and works a treat.

Ideas?

A scythe Ninja with a Nexus/Yate Loon at 5V will be your best solution while keeping some performance.

But it is a tad expensive.

Have you looked at the Scythe Infinity?

If you're not overclocking (or only a bit) the Arctic 7 will be all you need. I have an unclocked E6400 and the Arctic 7 holds it at the ambient temp when idling with the fan running at about 960RPM. Running Orthos the temp rose to 35C with the fan at 1400RPM.

Thanks for your comments guys, do you know if the Scythe comes with thermal compound in a tube or already applied? I like the fact the AC come with it already applied - so easy :p
