My sister needs a new phone and I am going to give her my S8 as I was planning to replace it with a Note 9 but having seen the pricing for the Note 9 I am not going to be buying it any more.
Which now leaves me in the undesirable place of having promised my S8 to my sis (which she needs within 1 week) and needing a new phone that makes sense to purchase at this point.
I have been considering the Note 8 instead as it can be had for about 450 from places like Tobydeals/eglobal but lately I have also come across some interesting 'chinese' phones like the Oppo Find X.
I'm also aware that the S10 is likely to be a game changer and it's coming out by February so my question is, what should I get for value-for-money to replace the S8 with which either serves me well to keep for 2+years if the S10 doesnt turn out to be so great, OR if the s10 is fabulous then something I can sell and expect to get a decent chunk of the cash back?
I'm happy to get something chinese if I can get a stock android / non-chinese rom on it which it appears the Oppo doesn't have for example.
