S80 cpu cooler query

Ok, i'm looking at a Scythe Ninja for my about to be ordered Lian Li-S80B and Conroe upgrade, but the cpu ducting in the case concerns me.. Does anyone (i'm hoping Yewen can help) have any ideas whether this is going to be viable given the height and sidemounted fan on the Ninja? If it is going to be a problem what are my other options?

It is removeable.

But it only knocks of 4mm ish of the available room above the CPU. So it should be fine.

If your going for silence you will most likely need to replace the stock fans.

Ah cheers mate.

If you take a look over in General Hardware i've made a post of the spec i'm going for including a few replacement fans, any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

i will have the s80, an asus p5w dh and the scythe with me tomorrow, i will post up an let ya know if it all fits ok lol,

hey up,

right got the case and cooler.

mobo fitted fine, the shrouding from the rear fan needs to be removed if you install the fan on the scythe.

Other wise all is fine.

Ah excellent, cheers mate.. looks like i should stop holding out for a better conroe motherboard and order my other bits so i don't end up with my 6600 arriving and having nothing to stick it in!
