Hi chaps,

I've been reading lots of Yewen's threads on the S80, and also quite a few reviews for the Silverstone Temjin TJ-09 - both have features i need (smaller footprint than my V2100B, i/o panel on top, etc) but i just can't friggin decide. I love my Lian-Li, so am swaying towards the S80 but i have never had a Silverstone so i've no idea what they're build quality etc is like...

Edit: Does anyone know if HDD mounts are dampened on the S80 or TJ-09? Cant see if they are in any of the reviews, as i've got a loud Raptor 150...

Edit2: What about removeable motherboard trays, any of these two have that?!

Any help? :)

I can't speak for either of these 2 cases, but I have an A10 and can vouch for that. Pretty quiet with removable motherboard tray and not as big as the 2000/2100, with the i/o panel on top as you require. HD's have the rubber dampening mounts also. I put my Raptor in a Silentmaxx enclosure though and I can barely hear it. Never tried it mounted normally, but I have 2 SATA's also in there I can't hear them. Easy case to work with, looks great and build quality is amazing.

You may want to look at the PC-201 as well. Slightly bigger than the A10 but may arguably be a bit more silent, although I don't think there's much in it. Lian Li have it in their 'silent' range, although I can't see that it has much more silencing properties than the A10.

Ive had plenty of Lian li`s in the past but i can say that the Silverstone Temjin TJ-09 is the best ive had,the cooling setup is A+++,yes you can take the motherboard out,the raptor is very quiet ive got one and cant hear it,the videocard cooler works well as do the top 2 x 120mm fans, build is on par or even better than lian li.
