please can somebody help, am new to this. i noticed the price drop on the micro drive 6gb cards. does anyone know if there is a size limit?. all the handbook says is cf 2 microdrive. (must use an eject button) am going to tunisia later in the year and need a cf card. thanks in advance gary.

I dont think that the camera can take 6gig? How much is the 6gig by the way, as you can get 1gig CF for £15 now-a-days.

well oc special offers this week 49.95 +vat or 39.95 + for a 4 gb. the manual doesnt state a min or max size just cf2 microdrive. so confusing.the reason is that it says i can take movies up to 1 gb. so dont want to run short.

I woul imagine putting a microdrive in your s9500 would make it horrendously slow.. And slaughter battery life, to boot.

i may have made a mistake last night then , being confused i ordered a 6 gb card. (will probably have to change my order now... ) how much power does the microdrive take from the batteries? have only had the camera a couple of months and happy with it.

You need to do a firmware update on the 9500 to take 6gb cf cards

I can't say how much it will effect battery life or performance - but it will certainly hit both.

thanks for the info, have decided to change the order to normal cf cards, less hassle. on the firmware update, i presume the dealer would have to do this? thanks gary

No. You should get the plug in power charger and check the fuji website for the software. Full instructions are on the site how to update. I haven't done it tho, I don't have a 6gb card. Don't like to put all my eggs in one basket

im an ex user of microdrives. I would steer well clear of them! They will take long times to access, overheat, corrupt, drain power!

a no no no. Use solid state memory.
