thats ok then might save me a fiver my airflow seems ok at the mo in my Thermaltake Chaser MK-I, will be gettin a 200mm fan for side panel to help out with gpu
Its "advised" that if you are using a water-cooler or CPU cooler of that type (Corsair H series or the other ones) then you should put one in as there would be no air moving over the board created by a cooler.
That said, the hottest part of my sabertooth is top part (Silverstone Raven 3 case) and have a spot fan on it. Also have the assist fan as using a corsair H70, and noticed a feeble 1 degree drop in temps on board temps. (Not over clocked)
My Sabertooth is running at 28-35 degrees at idle and tops 39 degrees running BF3 at the moment. (non over clocked and good case)
TLR - If you have good case flow - not needed,
If you have a air cooler on CPU - not needed
If you have bad flow and a watercooler - grab it, its only a couple of quid. (If you're buying a sabertooth though, you really shouldn't have bad air flow)
Anyone know what the quietest fan you can get for the assist fan on the sabertooth? I have a board coming today and would rather have one as long as it was near silent!
