Hi peeps, Just helping a friend with his new build. We decided to go for the Asus Sabertooth P67 B3 revision motherboard from OcUK. (he's upgrading from a P4 with 7800gtx lol)

Thing is i'm 100% sure what is the max speed ram we can put it in. On OcUK page it says up to 2133mhz.. but on the Asus official page says 1866mhz.

Would this ram work ok in the Sabertooth mobo?

He will be getting the Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz CPU so ideally we would like to overclock it to 4ghz and over. CPU cooler will be the new Corsair dual fan which seems a good deal and sufficient for overclocking.

Any advice is most welcome :p

i didn't actually say i needed the RAM for overclocking.. i just wanted to know what is the max speed this motherboard takes as i see 2 different figures. The desire is to put in the fastest RAM the motherboard can support (that doesnt cost an arm and a leg).

Thanks for the info anyway. But still does everyone know what the max speed RAM this mobo can take.. 2133 or 1866?

Ta.

It's not that i don't believe it .. its just that on OcUK is says - Support for 1333/1600/1866/2133MHz Memory which is an error?

So this RAM i chose will not work in the motherboard? better look for a set of 1866 then.
