Well basically

Everytime I start my computer, it will come on with the bios screen, come up with something on screen (too fast to read) then instantly restart.

Upon restarting it will show the bios screen again, then detect the hard drives that are connected to it, then restart.

It will then load normally and start windows etc.

Is this meant to be the case? :s

As it takes about 10-20 seconds for it to complete this process instead of the normal 3 second process, and rather annoying when I have to restart computer for installations etc.

From what i've read this is considered normal activity with some Asus boards - it's a self check process (or similar).

It's annoying part of it's quirky boot sequence.

You could try enabling 'quick boot' if it isn't already?

Forgot to update this

There was no Quick boot option

No option I could see that related to quick boot either, just ability to show full screen image, or text.

The first time it does it very quick but I seen it saying Detecting drives, then it restarts, detects the drives and lists them, restarts again and loads.

Anyone else any ideas?
