I'm really hoping someone can help me.

when using SABnzbd/torrents my virgin internet drops out until I reboot the modem? Has anyone seen this before?

I have tried multiple ports in SABnzbd, SSL on/off etc

I have an Asus RT-AC68U as the rouuter, with the SuperHub2 ac working as the modem.

How many server connections are you using? Should be no more than 8-10 connections if you're downloading large files.

A lot of people just punch in 50 connections or whatever because it's the maximum for their server provider.

The first thing that comes to mind is too many connections, as asim18 says.

5 seems a very small number though whatever it is (global or per torrent, upload or download, etc., you didn't say) so doesn't sound like that's the problem. Sharing all the settings would confirm.

Another thing I would look at is TCP/UDP timeouts, since I'm a dd-wrt fan. Not sure if your Asus has something similar. https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Router_Slowdown

my old router simply cannot handle few usenet connections. went out and got a new router and handle over 20+ connections easily.

some routers doesnt like usenet connections very well. i dont know asus routers. so try 3rd party firmware. if no improvement then get a different router

just notice you have superhub2.

funnily enough my superhub2 can handle 20+ connections. can you try your superhub2 to see if the asus router is the problem?

I have an RT-AC68U and find it to be very unstable and I could never find out why, went back to a N56U and its great again.

Only bought the AC68U for the improved wireless range.
