Just wondering if there's any way I can download my finished usenet downloads onto my PC rather than having to use remote access/shared documents to transfer the file(s) across. I've not found anywhere to click on a finished Usenet download.

Thanks,
Craig.

You can change the download folder in the options. You will have to use absolute file paths though.

I've changed all that, I'm just basically wanting to be able to click on finished Usenet downloads so I can simply 'download' them (transfer over the network through Firefox basically).

It almost defeats the purpose of SABnzbd if I have to use shared documents/remote access to transfer the finished files.

I don't understand? Your using sabnzbd on a remote pc i guess, and want to transfer the files from your remote download box to your pc?

No way to other it other than moving from the remote share really. Could just have it move completed downloads to your pc by changing the absolute path of the download folder.

you could try setting your completed download folder output to say:

//workgroup/PCNAME/c:/download..... or whatever it is

it may move to completed file over the network or sab may not be that clever.

I would map a folder as a network drive on the pc probably, then windows is just doing normal SAMBA stuff which sab shouldnt even need to know about.

I was thinking of mapping a folder, then it would definitely transfer finished files over the network properly, but if the target PC is off (I turn my PC off every night) then it'll all screw up.

I decided to create my own mod to make it do what I want. I have a Lighttpd server running on my download PC so I've modified line 25 of "C:\Program Files\SABnzbd\interfaces\Plush\templates\history.tmpl" to read the following:

Code:
<a target="_NEW" href="http://mufasa/usenet/$line.filename">$line.filename</a>

It now links to the folder where the finished file is at least :)
