SabreTooth boards seem slow to boot up?

Behind you... Naked!
This is a semi-non-issue I suppose?

I got 2 SabreTooth boards.

990FX R2.0 with an AMD 9590 and 4x8GB Corsair Dominator

x99 with an I7-5390K - Again, with 4x8GB Corsair Dominator

Now, the AMD, when powered on, takes about 5 to 8 seconds to actually do any booting up.
The Intel is even worse! - It takes about 15 seconds before it does anything?

I have had these boards for a fair while now and they have always done it ( I think? ) and I dont think I am worried to be honest, but it is sometimes irritating to me.

None of my other boards take anywhere near as long.

It has come to my mind again because I recently bought a Gigabyte 990 board and I was going to replace the SabreTooth with it because it boots instantly, but it was problematic with Linux and the USB ( So Im not going to that now ) but its brought home, just how slow the SabreTooth boards are ( To boot... Once running, they are just fine )

Anyway, if anyone knows something, then I would love to know too! - Thank you.

My X99 board used to take a little while too. I believe it was due to memory training on each start up (least I read that somewhere)

Ok, I was thinking it could be something to do with memory.

Ill do a bit of looking up about memory training and see if somethign can be done?

Thank you.

For X99, my X99 (Gigabyte X99-sli) also took longer to boot. Not sure if it was quite that long, but it was definitly significantly slower than the non X99 stuff I've had.

For the Sabertooth, I had a Sabertooth 990fx, but it was then first version (so r1 I guess). My brother was still using it until recently, it booted the same speed as most stuff and had no complaints from him about slow boots. Was only an fx8350 and 8GB in it though.

The 990FX was using an 8350 and now the 9590 and Im not entirely sure that it has slowed down, its just that I have other boards that boot up instantly, or at least display something instantly.

Its not a bother to me as I rarely turn my main PC off and when it was my main PC, I never saw it booting, but now, I do.

The x99 is a bore to boot. It currently has 4 sticks of 8 but again, even when I toyed with a single stick of 4, it made absolutely ZERO difference on how long it took.

My Server is a SuperMicro and that takes absolutely bloody ages and so I am kind of not worried about any board that takes its time to boot, but if I can speed it up, then I will.

The worry about the x99 is that it is such a finicky board that I waas, for so long, absolutely sure that I was sold a dud because it crashes, spits farts, hangs and does absolutely everything except run nicely, but right noww, I have the settings at a point where it IS running fairly well... Im using Linux on it and it does give a few warnings as its booting, but otherwise it seems to be fine, and so I dont want to mess abotu wirth the CMOS settings again for fear of being stuck yet again.

The 990FX is a peach, and again, thats also Linux. Actually the x99 I have knocked up to replace the 990FX but in truth ,while the I7 is definitely a smidge quicker, it is simply not enough for me to care to replace it. Plus, the AMD is absolutely rock solid, and also I am using an RX380 in it, and it is flawless in the AMD but if I put it into an Intel setup, it often crashes with a green screen and a hell of a whine, so I prefer the AMD as my main Linux PC.

Maybe if I up the CPU, RAM and or the GFX then I will use the Intel. I have all the bits but in other PCs.

Im waffling again so I will leave it there!
