Sacred 2 demo - English version

can finally figure out what i'm sposed to do :p
Luckily I was checking for the much awaited Clear Sky patch when I saw the demo. I was not expecting this as demos seem to be a thing of the past for most games.

21 minutes to go at at 1 MB/s. I loved the first game so I have high hopes for this.

The dates seem to vary...

PC: November 2008
Xbox 360: February 2009
Playstation 3: February 2009

or...

Koch has clarified to Eurogamer that Sacred 2 will launch on 7th November across all three platforms: PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

or in a forum...

The last word I have on the US PC version is that it's definitely not coming before November, and there's a small chance it could be delayed until February. Is soon as either date is officially confirmed

It plays Ok but looks wise it's not a patch on Titan Quest!
Apart from the cheesy and bad dialog I think it looks a bit nicer. It is also running very well on my system more than I can say for Silverfall. It has very much the same implementation of the skill system as Sacred which in my opinion is far better than TQ. So far I am happy as it ticks all the right boxes for a mindless hack n slash.

Hello there :)

Liked this demo so much i went and pre ordered the game :D, its not due out in the UK till november 7 or maybe later but they releasing the CE in Australia on oct 5th ;), if they put back the date then i will just cancel and wait for europe release

Its gonna cost £45 delivered and maybe over a month earlier so i get a lot of play time :)

I just had a play around with the demo...

Probably one of the worst 'proper' (i.e. big publisher) games I've ever played.
Felt clunky, unresponsive, horrible interface, graphics were shocking, no hotkeys (). Camera was downright terrible.
It just dumps you straight in with no introduction whatsoever. Wasn't a fan of having to click multiple times to attack, either.

Don't know how they managed to make it take up 1.7GB either, especially with a 5 minute timeout if you left the area...

Regardless of gameplay I don't know how anyone could think this game looks better than TQ!

The animations are poor and the characters sort of glide instead of walk and the spell FX are not half as good!

Sadly I do find that I agree with most of your findings, I'm a little disappointed :(
