I know this was pretty buggy on release but has it been fixed yet as it looked quite promising.
Thanks
Thanks
Been playing it since 2.34(?) and it was fine then and I installed 2.40 a couple of days ago and it's been great
Really enjoying it so far - huge game. If you get into it you'll have to let me know - don't know many people who play it![]()
seems to be holding its price rather well. Quite fancied picking this up but can't seem to find it under £25 which is a bit much imo.
I bought mine on Steam... I'm not sure of the price, but I know it hasn't been in any sales yet...
save on searching for all the patches.
Have game and you could always use the in game updater![]()
I played 2.34 for a while, which only had one bug I ever saw: a borked minor quest. There were occasional glitches with quest items not appearing, but saving, quitting and restarting usually fixed this. But I can't prove that this wasn't my (overclocked) rig doing this. 2.40 adds Physx if your hardware supports it, and the only bug is in your favour: the Set drop rate is vastly increased at higher difficulties. But since the Set items are usually not as good as the best gold stuff, it doesn't matter - just more money.
I've been playing this game pretty solidly for about six weeks now and I have to say it's the nearest to a Diablo2 beater yet. The look is astonishing if you are running high-end hardware, and the repeatability is there too. The game is pretty well balanced, at least as far as Gold level (third out of five) with it being pretty difficult to build a useless character without special effort. The six character types are unusual, but cover a range of playing styles. The caps on levels, skills etc are very high (I've seen level 230+ characters) so you don't hit any ceilings any time soon. And it's fun - rare these days.
