SACRED 2 - Has it been fixed?

Been playing it since 2.34(?) and it was fine then and I installed 2.40 a couple of days ago and it's been great :)

Really enjoying it so far - huge game. If you get into it you'll have to let me know - don't know many people who play it :(

I dont know too much about it. Is it much like the first game? I quite enjoyed that and this one looks very pretty.

Only thing that put me off was the reported bugs. Might have to see if I can pick this up. Might save me from going to WOW lol

I've been playing it on and off since november and its fine... Hasn't crashed once and I haven't found any bugs yet... Well that I've noticed anyhow...

seems to be holding its price rather well. Quite fancied picking this up but can't seem to find it under £25 which is a bit much imo.

Yeah bit too much for me at the moment. I remember seeing this at under a £10 once on an online shop but its gone back up to full price again :(

I played 2.34 for a while, which only had one bug I ever saw: a borked minor quest. There were occasional glitches with quest items not appearing, but saving, quitting and restarting usually fixed this. But I can't prove that this wasn't my (overclocked) rig doing this. 2.40 adds Physx if your hardware supports it, and the only bug is in your favour: the Set drop rate is vastly increased at higher difficulties. But since the Set items are usually not as good as the best gold stuff, it doesn't matter - just more money.

I've been playing this game pretty solidly for about six weeks now and I have to say it's the nearest to a Diablo2 beater yet. The look is astonishing if you are running high-end hardware, and the repeatability is there too. The game is pretty well balanced, at least as far as Gold level (third out of five) with it being pretty difficult to build a useless character without special effort. The six character types are unusual, but cover a range of playing styles. The caps on levels, skills etc are very high (I've seen level 230+ characters) so you don't hit any ceilings any time soon. And it's fun - rare these days.

Whats the population like on this game?

Has it been fixed?, well more or less. Patch 2.40 has made it pretty stable for me but others still have probs. 2.34 was ok for me too apart from a ctd if I played it too long.

The game is typical ARPG fare, nothing special but good fun all the same. I'm always amazed at the different builds you can make even for the same class, for instance the Seraphim, my first was all out melee but the latest I'm playing is a pure caster AoE with massive damage. Dryad too, lots of ways to play them, mine is a dual-weilding assasin type using darting assault CA modded to be an AoE powerhouse against multiple enemies at once. I don't bother with ranged at all, cept for the occasional boss.

im playing the 2.40 version now which is latest and its not so buggy anymore, only a few lil bugs here and there, but can play it for ages without any problems.

Would like this also on Steam but it's too expensive - no doubt it'll be on one of the weekend offers sooner or later.

All I remember is hearing that it's a 15GB download (or thereabouts!) so should be, um, interesting if buying from Steam.

The retail product comes on 2 DVDs and installs to 12gb.

If you install the Elite textures, it brought my folder to a whopping 20GB. Fun game, as mentioned there is a lot of variety within each class and very few builds that are total junk. Plus a hardcore mode for those so inclined and the closed net servers seem pretty secure.
