got my electrisity bill
lets just say, I cryed.
so the crunchers are going off (over night) in a vain attempt to lower my monthly bill (thats now quite a bit more than it was :( )
I expect my output will drop by as much as 50% now, as all non essential PCs are *** (ie the ones not used for file servers etc).
sorry guys, but this is the end :(

Solution: faster PCs on, slower ones ***

Make the best of a bad situation. I'm expecting to have the same problem this time next year (got a capped price deal until next year, then it's clearly going to go ballistic). In fact, I may have to cut back before then due to having a rather large debt to pay off.

unlucky mate :(

I've kept the card meter here on purpose so we don't get a nasty surprise - as far as habits go I wouldn't say it's a particularly expensive one but getting billed a little extra every day for 3 months all at once is bound to make quite a difference

I guess you'll still be able to get some extra output from customer borgs though?

totaly, the borgs are still going strong, and its only over night atm
I'm not sure its the PCs causing the high bills tbh, but I want to be able to rule them out.

unlucky, similar here, huge bill - had to sell 4/5 PC's and make 2 faster ones to keep the bill down. Will probably have to do the same again when the next quarter bill comes through.

Sad to hear that Mr Vent, least you can still borg :)

Only reason that I have 11 machines is that 9 are borged ( no leccy bill ) and the 2 at my house 1 is an pentium M so Hardley any juice used there.

Keep em crunching
