I'm in the market for a new perch and am wondering what you all use?

Looking at the Specialized Toupe and Selle Italia SLR SuperFlow/Flite Flow.

My last bike had a Charge Scoop on it which was extremely comfortable and generally awesome. It was fine for imperial century rides.

I've just moved to a Tioga Spyder on my new bike and the jury is still out on it. So far it has been surprisingly comfortable but I'm still prepared to move back to my Charge Scoop if it gets uncomfortable on longer rides.

I have the Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow saddle. Absolutely love it. So comfortable.

The superflow looks interesting, a huge cutout!

The Carbonio is also on the list but i've yet to find one to look at in the flesh.

Want to stick to by black/red scheme of my N2A.

Do you like flat or curvy saddles?

Personally I like a flat one on the road bike and use a Selle Italia SLS Kit Carbonio which I think is a bargain for under £30.

currently on a fizik gobi xm, works well angled flat so it's like being perched in a bendy hammock. starting to look a bit tatty on the sides after 3 years though.

have my trusty charge spoon as a backup, great saddle but it's a bit too wide for my narrow bones down there.

My bike came with a relatively flat and thin (130) san marco saddle. I'm ok with flat although i do wonder if a slight curve would nestle me into position better. One thing I am considering is getting a 143mm saddle as I think my sit bones could use a slightly wider perch.

I have a Charge Scoop on one bike and Charge Spoons on the other two. The Spoon is probably a bit more comfy than the Scoop, which gets a bit wearing above about 40 miles. I might end up swapping the Scoop for another Spoon at some point.

Further to what Von has just said, from memory the Spoon (and Flux) are slightly softer than the Scoop so if you're ever weighing up the two it's probably worth keeping that in mind when you choose.

Charge Spoon on 2 of my bikes, hoping to have it on 3 this weekend, and an ISM rep on my TT bike, although think it is too wide as getting a bit of soreness. TT seems to be much more specific, so will probably be trying something new again on this soon.

Charge spoon has been my go to saddle for most of my bikes in the last few years, very comfortable and hard wearing.
Got an Sdg I-fly on my DH bike, let's just be glad I don't have to sit down on it much.

I use a Fizik Antares, after trying 15 or so different saddles from Wiggle.

I like it so much I bought five in total, fitted my other bikes with one and have two spares just in case.

It's a very personal thing saddles, what fits one wont fit another and fit is very important, personally I'd go to a specialized dealer and see which size you need.
Once I'd found that I'm best on a 143mm width saddle choice was less important, I have 2 x china carbon jobbies that are extremely comfortable for me due to being the correct width....they also weigh 100grams!

My more money, more padding recommendation would be a specialized romin pro evo carbon railed, I can't say enough good things about this saddle and if you get lucky like I did you might pick a brand new one up from ebay for £60.
