Safari Crashing!!

Just came home and before I went out everything was working fine.

However now if I attempt to play any video in safari Youtube, BBC iPlayer etc.. Safari Crashes!! I cant Force Quit Safari and I cant end it in Activity Monitor. It's really annoying me, I have to manually turn it off so I can use safari again. Any ideas before I go mad and smash my lovely macbook into pieces! :mad:

Download Firefox, Safari pssshh....

But seriously what version of it are you running, any third party plugins?

Might be worth looking at webkit as well

Just installed firefox, tried youtube and crashed while loading the video :mad:

System prefs keeps crashing and iPhoto just crashed too

Whats going on? Its the first time iv'e been annoyed at my mac since I got it..

I have been reading round on a few forums and found that people was saying it was a sound problem and anything to do with audio would crash the program including changing the volume in system prefs. Sure enough System Prefs crashed when i opened sound, iTunes wont work and the volume buttons on the keyboard wont work.

The site doesn't mention a fix apart from repairing permissions or uninstalling a recent program. I have repaired permissions and the last thing I installed was the latest update so I am still stuck.

Anybody have any ideas before i have to Re-Install tonight?

Never experienced such a catastrophic problem with a Mac, not sure on a fix for it.

Looks like the reinstall is best bet tbh!
