As per title, Safari has decided to stop working and the icon now has a '?' over it.

I've treid downloading beta3 and trying to isntall that to rectify it, but the installer will not load up.

Any one got any ideas?

Have you tried looking in the finder at the applications folder to see if its in there, you might have, deleted, renamed or move the Safari application from there, if its not there at all try using search/spotlight to find it otherwise just rename it.

Yeh, tried all that. It isnt there at all. Alls that left is the dead link in the dock.

Gunna pop into the apple shop this evening and let them sort it out.

I don't believe there is a way to install Safari off the OS X install DVD as it's a core component of the OS.. sounds like you'd either have to get someone to send you Safari.app online, or use Firefox.

Removing the Icon from the dock will just remove the broken-shortcut to Safari.
