Ok Folks

Couldn't find a answer to this anywhere.

I like Yosemite very much not had any problems apart from one thing. Safari is very slow it hangs before a page is loaded up. Is this a know problem. someone was saying disable prefetching or DNS or something. This is over my head

Sorry mate, can;t say I've had noticed or experienced similar issues.

It's been the fastest browser I've ever used. Have you tried going to the Yosemite section on Mac Rumors? Lots of developers, and users there that could help.

I have the same lag before opening a page in Safari but I'm still on Mavericks. Nothing I've done, including a full reset of everything has helped. Chrome works much much faster but is a battery killer and makes the mbp hot enough to be uncomfortable on my lap.

Good to know they didn't fix it yet, whatever 'it' is.

Ive sorted my problem out... Read around that changing the DNS to the Google Public address it did the trick. dunno why

What problem did you have? Mine starts loading a page, pauses for 5 seconds and then loads the page. All other internet activity is fine, chrome is good and I'd use that if it weren't for the poor battery life. Even at home I get sick of plugging it in after an hour of youtube in chrome, not to mention the heat the nvidia kicks out. Using gfx to lock the intel on doesn't work either. :(

That the same problem I had...

Change your DNS Settings to the Google Public DNS this what i have done.. And now Safri and mail runs smoothly as ever
