Safari keyboard shortcut help!

Moving from Firefox to Safari on my mac, now on Firefox / Chrome etc you can always press cmd+enter to autocomplete a url (i.e Facebook cmd+enter = http://www.facebook.com) but I can't for the life of me work out what it is on safari!

If you've been to it before then hitting the down arrow works.

I use Safari omnibar and i'm sure if i start typing a web address (such as facebook.com) and it appears in the bar before i have finished typing and hit enter it goes to it.

Plus you get the bonus of having one bar at the type you can also search from like Chrome does.

Also use omnibar but still after the shortcut.

Holding down Ctrl + pressing enter seems to work for me in the same tab, or using cmd to open in a new tab..
