Safari vs Firefox vs IE?

I've been running Firefox for a while now as I think IE is an absolute bag of whoopsy, but after I installed Win7 I installed Safari alongside Firefox.
I'd love to know what other people think as I'm undecided now. Firefox is traditional browsery with nicer features, Safari 4 is as fancy as **** and looks the dog's testicles but isn't quite as user friendly (maybe I need to get used to it) and IE is just... well IE.

Any opinions?

It's basically a preference. I am using IE happily at the moment on W7.

There isn't really a "best" one though, maybe technicaly one is more secure than another... I use both IE and FF quite happily and like both.

BTW, fully star out swear words or you'll earn a holiday by the moderators! :p

I love my firefox :)

Ah, there's one I haven't tried yet.
So far I'm thinking Firefox before Safari. Substance before style, but hell Safari looks the business.
I'll probably use IE when MS bully every better program out of the market (remember Navigator?).

But yeah, I'm off to try Google Chrome.

I don't like the sound of that browser... I've heard a lot of bad things with the amount of data it sends back to google...

Perhaps I'm being unfair on it though. Frankly, IE or FF are fine and dandy for me, myself and I.

you can get SRWARE Iron which has those 'features' removed

Ah okay.

Hmm, but apparently Safari will just disable any failed plugins instead of crashing your browser, that's got to be more than just a preference?

Yeah, but some sites work only in IE. And FireFox has different addons. And something else supports mouse movements... so on.

Basically, all web browsers have their "pluses". At work I use FF because I have a few addons which are great for web dev.

After, ironically, doing a little Googling, I've got rid of chrome.
So... I'm back to my three original contenders, SAFARI, FIREFOX and err...IE.

Seems IE is a little slack like a lot of MS software (I think it even feels slack to use), Safari is a beauty but is not as efficient (favourites shows 9 screens that look great but isn't as functional as a list), Chrome is gone from my machine after seeing some reports.
Think I'm staying with Firefox.
Think I'll stay with Thunderbird mail too.

You could always try SRware iron I guess if you really like chrome

The main reason I choose firefox is the addons, all the browsers are pretty much identical performance wise in a practical situation.

Favourite addons:
Stylish - Lets me customize websites like the OcUK dark theme.
XMarks - Lets me sync my bookmarks accross multiple computers.
Google Preview - Google looks weird without it and it's really handy.
Easy Youtube downloader - embeds links in Youtube to download files
Speed dial - Favourite sites on my homepage
Dictionary - Spell checking on the fly... YAY!

I also use a few addons to make the interface quite minimal removing the status bar and menus. Fission adds the progress bar, connection information and link text into the address bar :)

i used to use internet explorer until i discovered firefox, it is so much better, i dont like google chrome, but i havent tried safari yet
