It's been catastrophically slow in loading pages lately. It's not my connection as Chrome is as fast as ever. It only started happening recently so I'm not sure what's causing it.

I've reset Safari as far as I can without deleting everything as I don't want to lose all my bookmarks and it's the only way I can check my bank online as I forgot the three thousand codes for that years ago.

Any ideas going or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and nuke it from orbit/poo through its.... it doesn't even have an optical drive.

What exactly have you cleared? Cookies and website data etc? That *should* sort the problem, but worst case scenario if you do have to nuke it, you can make a backup of your bookmarks first to re-import (File > Export Bookmarks).

Move the ~/Library/Preferences/Safari and ~/Library/Safari folders somewhere else for now, then start Safari. Is it still slow?

Sorry guys, totally forgot about this, been so busy. I've not even had time to look at it again but I'll try the above when I'm home and report back. But yeah, I cleared cookies and data but it was still slow.
