hi guys, wondering what you'd consider a safe voltage for an overclocked 8400 (4ghz atm), E0 stepping

the VID is 1.2500v

am currently using orthos at 1.4v (bios) 1.392v (CPU-z), seems to be hitting 60c after 30mins of Small FFT's stress testing under a Freezer 7 pro

thanks

edit: as well as your maximum safe voltage, what would you consider your max temperature?

60c is average for that cooler

max volt people would say are different depending on the temps you get

but as long as its cold that looks fine , im currently at 1.440 in cpuz and 1.375 bios

mmm ok nice one, well after sleeping orthos is still running after 7hours 32mins

4049Ghz CPU 1.4vcore (1.392@cpu-z), I think i can drop the vcore a little possibly, its stable on 3.9 on lower voltages giving 50-54c load temps

tbh i dont think anything like games is going to max out 100% load so temps should be fine

heres a screenie ,

are my sensors screwed up ? (i already know my cpu one is a bit duff since it wont report lower than 42/46 on the cores even when idle) (core temp), tried other software too

they are not that hot to touch though, sure the chipset is hot but not burning i can keep my finger on it no problem

stopped orthos on 9 hours ish, and it still gives the same loony temps in speedfan
