hi,

i'm working on clocking a 3770k on a gigabyte z77-d3h (running bios 22), running on air cooling.

hit a limit of 4.6 at 1.35v, 4.7 needed 1.42 and temps were the wrong side of 80 :(

after reading here i decided to try the blk setting, currently managed to get it to 104.5 * 46 for 4.8 at 1.38.

now 4.9 would need 106.5, just wondering if that would be safe to try ?, and how far can i safely push it, as 5ghz would need 108.7 ish.

cheers.

currently fixed, as i'm new to this bclk usage so wanted the stability of a static voltage, rather the dvid i'm using on my normal 4.6 o/c.

monitoring via hwmonitor for temps/voltages.

aside from instabilities there likely to be any other issues ?, as i know the bclk adjusts memory speed, and affects the likes pci-e if i've read things correctly so far.

running a 780 gtx, so got something right for a change lol.

yeah i'm staying with the "safer" o/c, just gutted with the 4.9, i know super pi isn't the be all of benchmarking but to knock 12 seconds off, and my first sub 7 mins time, just surprised me, shame it couldn't hang on for day to day stuff :(.
