Safe CPU volts [email protected]

What's a safe starting point to for the CPU volts on my e8500
multi is at 9.5 and the freq at 420
I have set it before but can't remember what it was

Safe is up to 1.4Vish..but for 4ghz you shouldn't need more than 1.25-1.3V depending on stepping. Some C0 steppings might need a bit more.

Running 1.32v for 4.2Ghz here. 3.8Ghz is easily done at stock volts while 4Ghz needs 1.28v. 4.5Ghz takes 1.4v which is why i settled at 4.2Ghz for normal use.

Been running my E8600 for over a year @ 1.4v-@ 4.5GHz under water, never had a problem with it (prime stable)
