am currently clocking my ds4.ive got my geil pc6400 running at 2.25v.this seems to be helping things.is this safe voltage, could it even go a little higher?

thanx
am running a [email protected] ghz :)
memory volts was deffo holding me back before.as soon as i pushed it to 2.25v it started to go behond 300 fsb(im using a gigabyte ds4)
current mem timings are a bit loose-running at 5-5-5-15.could i tighten these abit?

Wouldnt overclocking the RAM and CPU reduce its life spam?

From 15 years to maybe 10 years. Stupid voltage and bad cooling is the only real cause of killing a cpu or RAM before the average person is finished with it.

2.8Ghz, so that's 400x7?

That ram should be fine up to 400fsb 1:1 (800Mhz) at 2.1v. What do you mean about needing 2.25v to go beyond 300fsb?
