Safe GFX card temperature

Hello. I recently purchased a 6850HD Radeon, currently I'm looking at temperatures averaging around 50C on standby and 70C at peak graphics.

I would like to know, what is the highest safe temperature before damaging the card?

I am not sure of the highest temps but would guess at 95c~

Your temps are fine and well within the normal parameters.

depends on your fan speed via MSI Afterburner and your case cooling

what case have you got?

how many intakes/exhausts?

whats your cable management like?

gpu temps depend on what type of card you have i.e. reference or manufacturer custom cooler.. and your case cooling i.e. side fan etc...

lots of things can mess around with your gpu temps.
