I've recently finished a new build in a corsair crystal 570x, it's lovely but I've already had 2 of the included SP120 RGB fans fail on me (start making a clicking noise) so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I've got a 980ti running on a corsair H60 and an 8700k cpu with a h100i v2. I had some issues with temperature build up but have now reconfigured the fans so the H60 is at the front as an intake (with 2 fans in push pull) and the h100 is at the top with two of the sp120 fans as exhaust. The gpu here's up to about 66deg C under full load after about 20 minutes and stays there but the air exhausted from the case is naturally quite warm. My question is what is a safe temperature range for these fans to operate at? I've never had fans fail like this on me before but I've never used these fans before either. I've looked for tech specs and datasheets and can only find a mtbf rating which is measured at 25deg C but no details on safe temperature ranges. The exhaust air is warm and the top of the case does get warm to the touch but only warm, not hot and I've definitely run hotter pcs in the past.
